Meet the animals currently residing at Hayyy Farms! We cannot possibly individually list every single animal with the amount of detail we’d prefer, so we recommend following us on Facebook and Instagram for the most personable experience.

Chicken the Horse
Quarter Horse (Rescue) – AQHA
Chicken is a quarter horse mare that I rescued from an auction in 2016. She’s smart, sassy, and loves to get away with things she’s not supposed to. Chicken is very well trained, but like any horse, can have her moments. Her best traits are her mellow personality and her confidence and perseverance when things get rough. Occasionally she travels to contesting shows and pleasure shows, where she excels at speed events. Chicken is registered with the American Quarter Horse Association.
Dairy Goats
ADGA French and American Alpines
Our goats are bred for their docile, friendly temperament, high milk production, and overall health. They are extremely tame – especially at children’s events, where they frequently make appearances – and do very well in our family farm environment. Aside from their amazing personality, they’re also incredible producers! Our does milk out high volumes with ease, kid multiples without assistance, and are champs on the stand.

Rabbits
Pedigreed Champagne D’Argents
Champagne D’Argent rabbits are known for their large size, quick growth rates, and fur quality, but they’re also typically amazing mothers with very docile personalities. Because of this, we knew they’d be the perfect fit for our farm! We currently have just a few does with our breeding buck, Frank, with plans to expand our rabbitry in the future.
Since rabbits are known to be the most sustainable meat – able to be grown year-round – we will be selling kits as a mix of breeding stock, show prospects, and processed whole rabbit. We strive to give them the best life we can, while providing the community with fresh, ethically-raised rabbit.
Hogs
Production Cross (varies)
For the fourth season in a row, we’re bringing farm fresh pork back to the farm! While these pigs will be leaving us in the fall, our goal is to keep them as happy and healthy as we can while they’re here and again be able to offer healthy, ethically-raised, homegrown pork to the local community. Be sure to ask about our available halves/wholes!

Poultry
Laying Hens, Broilers, Ducks, and Guineas
Our large, free-range flock is a mix of a ton of different breeds and species. Each bird is chosen with a goal in mind, whether it be egg production, hardiness, or overall size. Since a large portion of our birds are used for breeding, we heavily select for healthy, hardy, and productive birds with good temperaments and grow-out weights.
